I am a Consultant Social Worker with a background in sociology and a master’s degree in social work. As an Advanced Practitioner and qualified Best Interests Assessor, I bring over 17 years of experience in the Social Care sector. My career has spanned diverse settings, including mental health, young people transitioning to adulthood, learning disabilities and autism, hospital environments, and acquired brain injury.
I practice using a relationship-based model of social work, which emphasizes building strong, supportive connections with individuals. My approach is strengths-based, focusing on empowering people to navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Advocacy for human rights is central to my practice, ensuring that the voices of those I support are heard and respected.
I have extensive experience leading statutory safeguarding inquiries, managing complex cases, and working within the Court of Protection to uphold individuals’ best interests. My work is driven by a commitment to social justice, collaboration, and holistic care.
By combining expertise, compassion, and a focus on building relationships, I aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I support, promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
