I am a Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases and Virology based at the Royal London Hospital, with over 16 years of NHS experience. My career has taken me across Nottingham, London, and the Northern Territory in Australia, providing me with a breadth of clinical expertise.
I specialize in clinical virology, with particular interests in viral hepatitis (including hepatitis B and hepatitis delta), the use of pathogen genomics to inform epidemiology and infection control, and managing viral infections in immunocompromised patients. As a member of the Royal College of Physicians, I am dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
I am deeply committed to supporting mental health and proud to advise the team at Bloomfield Health as their Infectious Diseases Lead Physician. I strive to deliver the highest possible care for individuals with mental health difficulties, ensuring their physical and mental health needs are fully addressed.
In addition to my clinical role, I teach medical students, junior doctors, and scientists, sharing my passion for clinical virology. My research has been published in leading international journals, including the British Medical Journal and Clinical Infectious Diseases. Combining clinical care, teaching, and research, I aim to advance care and improve outcomes for all patients.
