Consultant Psychiatrist
We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join Bloomfield Health’s growing multidisciplinary mental health service.
This is a part-time (2.5 PAs) hybrid role combining in-person clinics in Central London (Harley Street) with remote working. The post focuses on direct clinical care and clinical leadership within a well-supported outpatient service.
The role involves assessing and treating adults across a broad range of mental health conditions, from common presentations such as anxiety and depression through to more complex and comorbid cases. You will manage your own caseload, contribute to multidisciplinary discussions, and support the ongoing development of the service.
There are also opportunities to contribute to Bloomfield Health’s wider areas of work, including medicolegal assessments and occupational mental health services.

This is a consultant psychiatrist role within Bloomfield Health’s expanding mental health service.
The post combines:

The service provides general psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and medical psychotherapy, delivering high-quality care across a spectrum of presentations ranging from common mental health conditions to more complex cases.
The post holder will also contribute to the wider work of the organisation, including medicolegal services and occupational wellbeing provision.

Bloomfield Health provides a consultant-led independent mental health service, including:
- General adult psychiatry
- Neuropsychiatry
- Medical psychotherapy

The service operates as a multidisciplinary outpatient model, combining in-person and digital care delivery.
- Population & Case Mix
The service works with adults presenting with:
- Common mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression)
- Neurodevelopmental conditions
- Trauma-related presentations
- Complex and comorbid psychiatric conditions
The case mix includes both:
- Lower-risk, straightforward presentations
- More complex and multi-faceted cases
- Role within the Service
The Consultant Psychiatrist will:
- Assess and treat patients with mental health conditions
- Manage an independent outpatient caseload
- Provide consultation and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues
- Contribute to the development of clinical services

Indicative workload:
- Approximately 1 new assessment per week
- Follow-up appointments as clinically appropriate
The role involves managing a balanced caseload, including both routine and more complex presentations.

Essential
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCPsych or equivalent
Registration
- Fully registered with GMC with licence to practise
- On Specialist Register (or within 6 months)
